Enjoy Japanese creativity from wherever you are. This help center is for fans who browse, join memberships, and buy digital content. Know what is included, when you pay, and what changes if you leave a plan.
New product and archive checkout, project backing, and tipping are not open yet. Creator projects may appear after review, but no backing hold or charge is taken while checkout is unavailable. Paid collectible drops are also closed. The free experience playground is available without a purchase. English dubbing and VF Voice are planned features. Check availability on each offer.

Start with a discovery
Is this a fan account or a creator account?
JAFANESE.com is for fans who browse, join memberships, and purchase digital content. Creating a free account does not create a creator page, upload tools, or a paid membership. Creator registration and management are handled separately on the Japanese creator site.
Can I explore before signing up?
Yes. Explore public creator pages, posts, and product descriptions first. Create a fan account with your username, email, and password, review the terms, and verify your email when you want to join or buy an available offer.
How do search, likes, and rankings work?
Use Explore to search creators, posts, or products, then choose the category, sorting, and grid or list view you prefer. Tap the heart while signed in to like an item. Likes do not charge you, subscribe you, or unlock content. Rankings and popularity help you discover work; they are not a promise of quality or results.
Which new features can I use now?
Browse the available pages and descriptions. New paid memberships, paid upgrades, product/archive checkout, project backing, tipping, and paid collectible drops remain closed while payment setup is completed. Existing members can still cancel or make eligible changes that do not require a payment. The free playground is open to everyone. English dubbing and VF Voice chats are planned only. A preview, creator approval, or announcement does not mean a paid feature is open.
Memberships: joining, changing, and leaving
Can a creator change my existing plan to a different archive mode?
A plan with qualifying paid membership history keeps its archive mode and monthly price. A creator offering a different mode or price creates a separate plan. You stay on your current plan unless you choose a change yourself or its separately announced closure takes effect. Creating a new plan does not move or charge you automatically.
Separately purchased archives keep the months and tiers recorded at purchase. A change in the price of future archive purchases does not change an earlier purchase.
What does a paid membership include?
The creator’s plan defines its access level. With monthly archives enabled, you can view eligible posts from months within your uninterrupted paid membership, subject to the tiers you qualified for then and have now. Months before you joined are not automatically included. Without archives enabled, an active qualifying membership also covers earlier published posts in its access level.
A membership does not automatically include shop products, separate archives, funding projects, English dubbing, or VF Voice chats.
What exactly happens when I cancel?
Open Memberships, choose Manage membership, then choose cancellation on the creator’s Plans tab and review the confirmation. Paid memberships appear first; switch to Free memberships to find a free plan. Plan names and monthly prices are shown on both phones and larger screens. Cancellation takes effect immediately. Future renewals stop and membership-derived access ends, including earlier months retained through that membership. It does not continue until the end of the paid month.
Canceling a membership does not delete your account. Separately purchased content remains separate while available. Cancellation alone does not create an automatic prorated refund. Keep a record of your cancellation and contact support about an unexpected later charge.
Will I get my old months back if I rejoin?
No. Canceling, switching to free, or a failed renewal that ends paid membership breaks continuity. Rejoining starts a new period. A past month from an earlier period needs a separate archive or collection purchase if one is offered. Remaining registered with a free account is not the same as continuing a paid membership.
What changes when I upgrade or downgrade?
Before confirming, compare the current and new archive modes, the amount due now, and future monthly prices. Even plans with the same price can have different archive conditions. Tick the confirmation box to continue. If your membership or the terms changed in another tab, reopen the Plans page and review again; an old confirmation is not applied to the new conditions.
A direct paid-to-paid change preserves continuity. An upgrade charges the displayed price difference, with future renewals at the new monthly price; it does not retrospectively unlock higher-tier work from earlier months when you did not qualify. A downgrade changes access immediately, with no automatic prorated refund. Higher-tier work becomes unavailable unless separately purchased. Moving to a free plan breaks paid continuity.
Can you show a simple example?
If you join an archive-enabled plan in September and keep the qualifying paid membership through November, its eligible September, October, and November posts remain available. August is not included just because you joined. Cancel in November and that membership-derived access ends immediately. Rejoin in December and the old September–November period does not return automatically. A September archive you purchased separately is independent of this change.
What if a payment fails or the creator closes the plan?
A failed renewal that ends your paid membership also ends its access and continuity. A scheduled plan closure is shown on the plan and in your membership information in Pacific Time. Choose another eligible paid plan before that deadline if you want to keep continuity. Otherwise the closed plan moves you to the free plan; a more expensive paid plan is not selected for you automatically.
Monthly archives and multi-month sets
What is a monthly archive?
A one-time purchase of a creator’s eligible posts from one completed past month. No active paid membership is required. Check the listed month, plan tiers, posts, attachments, and price before buying. The current month is not sold as a completed monthly archive.
An archive uses the month shown on its purchase page. A creator may add older work to an earlier archive after joining JAFANESE, so a post’s JAFANESE publication date can be later than its archive month. A current membership does not automatically unlock those earlier months. Memberships and purchases on other platforms do not transfer to JAFANESE.
Do higher-tier archives include lower tiers?
A higher-tier archive includes that month’s lower tiers that are enabled for archives, as recorded in the purchase. It does not include tiers without archives, higher tiers, or other months. A post can have attachments at different access levels, so check the included scope.
What is included in a multi-month set?
The listed months and recorded plan tiers, for one separately set product price. A creator might offer six months at a lower total price, but discounts are chosen by the creator, not applied automatically. Unlisted months and products are excluded.
Will I receive credit if I already own some of a set?
There is no automatic credit or prorated discount for overlapping content or a later higher-tier archive. Check your library before buying. An entirely covered individual archive is blocked from repeat purchase; different products and overlapping sets may still be purchasable.
Where do I find purchased archives if the plan changes?
My library lists the months recorded in your purchase and links to available posts. Stopping new archive sales does not by itself erase those recorded rights. A plan with qualifying paid membership history cannot switch its archive mode; a different mode requires a new plan. Online access still depends on your account, the creator’s page, and the content remaining available. Contact support about missing paid content.
Post collections and individual products
Does a post collection unlock the whole month?
No. It unlocks only the listed posts, even if they span different months. The selected posts’ images and videos are included; unrelated posts, full monthly archives, and separate shop products are not.
An introduction recommends a full archive. Is that included?
Only if it is explicitly listed as part of the purchased scope. A low-price introduction can link to a separately sold archive containing the main work. Opening that recommendation does not buy it, and buying the introduction does not automatically unlock it.
Can the creator change the posts or months in my collection?
The selected posts and months are fixed once payment starts, and your purchased scope is recorded. Content can still be corrected, made unavailable, or removed, for example for a rights or safety issue. If delivered content is missing or materially different, contact support with the purchase reference; see the refund conditions.
Watching and downloading
Where do I watch a product or open a post I can access?
Open the product from My library or Purchase history. Its “Your content” section lists each purchased file. Play a video or audio track there, open an image, or use that file’s Download link. Public samples appear separately under Product details.
On a post, “In this post” lists its attachments. A members-only attachment shows a membership link until you have access. If a viewing link expires, reload the item while signed in.
Can I stream and download purchased videos?
Yes, available purchased video files have streaming and download options. Sign in with the purchasing account. Supported playback depends on the uploaded format, your browser, and your device. Some files may require downloading and a compatible player. Large files can use substantial data and storage.
Do downloaded files disappear when I cancel?
No. Files already saved to your device remain there. Streaming or downloading again requires access at that time. Personal viewing rights do not include redistribution, reposting, resale, or sharing your account.
My video will not play, or a download link expired. What next?
Open the purchased item again from My library, earlier order history, or Backed projects. Media links expire for security; use the page to get a fresh link instead of sharing an old URL. Check your connection, available storage, and format support. If it still fails, send the content/order reference, browser, device, time, and error message to support—never your password or card details.
Is purchased content guaranteed to remain online forever?
No. Account deletion, creator closure, content withdrawal, or service restrictions can affect availability. Canceling a membership alone does not remove separate purchases. If paid content becomes unavailable, keep your purchase reference and contact support; applicable refund rights remain.
Backing a creator project
What am I supporting?
A conditional purchase of the digital content described in the campaign, such as a costume shoot, video, photo set, or audio work. It is not a physical costume or garment, a private session, a personal relationship, or an investment. Read the deliverables, goal, backing price, regular release price, closing date, and delivery deadline.
When does my card get charged?
When backing opens, submitting a pledge places a temporary card authorization hold. Your bank may show a pending transaction. When the goal is reached, backing closes and charges are confirmed. Failed charges do not count. The campaign succeeds only if completed payments meet its goal; otherwise completed charges are refunded and other holds are released.
What happens if the goal is missed or the work is not delivered?
A missed goal cancels the authorization without a completed charge. If the creator cancels after funding or misses the promised delivery deadline, paid backers are refunded. Bank processing times vary. A refund or release remains pending until confirmed; a pending status is not a new charge.
Can I withdraw my backing? Do I have to buy the work again?
You can withdraw while the campaign is still open and before its closing time. Reaching the goal can start payment processing and close backing early; withdrawal is then unavailable. Contact support about a payment problem. After success and delivery, paid backers can stream or download the promised product without another purchase. People who did not back it may buy at the stated regular release price. Membership is not included.
Where can I check delivery or refund status?
Open Backed projects. Check status there; automatic progress emails are not currently provided. Campaigns run for up to 30 days, with delivery due no later than 180 days after the closing date. The campaign’s actual dates control. If status needs investigation, contact support with the backing reference.
Payments, renewals, refunds, and time zones
Are prices in US dollars?
No. Prices and charges are in Japanese yen, shown as JPY. JPY 1,000 is one thousand Japanese yen, not one thousand US dollars. The price shown at confirmation is the site’s total; your card issuer may add conversion or other fees. Digital content has no physical shipping.
When does a monthly membership renew?
Memberships use a calendar-month billing cycle, not 30 days from signup. The current renewal schedule is the first day of the month at 01:00 UTC—6:00 p.m. PDT or 5:00 p.m. PST on the preceding Pacific calendar day. A signup near that boundary can be followed by renewal soon afterward. Actual processing may be delayed.
Archive content months are separate: they use the Pacific calendar. Creator payout dates use Japan time. Review the confirmation and membership status before joining; contact support if a date or charge does not match.
What if a payment is pending or I clicked twice?
For memberships, open Membership payments. The same recorded payment is checked again; a refresh never starts another charge. Enrollment and paid upgrades may require cardholder authentication. Continue that same authentication request if it is still available, instead of creating another payment.
A pending renewal does not automatically end your existing membership. A confirmed failure ends only the original membership being renewed. If you canceled or the plan ended before a successful result was confirmed, we do not automatically restore or change your membership. The payment is marked for support review; contact support with the reference for access or refund assistance.
Check My library, My drops, Backed projects, or Tip history before trying again. Pending authorization and a completed charge are different. A status check does not charge you again. If a payment is still being checked, do not submit a new purchase for the same item; contact support with the transaction reference.
What is the refund policy?
Canceling or downgrading a membership does not automatically refund used membership time. Duplicate or unauthorized charges, missing or materially incorrect paid content, and other applicable refund rights are reviewed. Funding has explicit release/refund conditions for unmet goals, insufficient completed payments, cancellation, and missed delivery. This is not a blanket “no refunds” policy.
See Purchasing terms and contact support with your reference. Do not send full card numbers or security codes.
Where can I find the operator and full purchase conditions?
Purchasing terms & operator information covers prices, payment timing, digital delivery, cancellation, refunds, access conditions, and the contact details for purchase support.
Tips and seasonal celebrations
Does tipping unlock something or guarantee a reply?
No. Once available, a tip is an optional one-time payment in JPY supporting the creator of eligible content. It does not renew, unlock content, buy a prize, or guarantee a reply. Tipping remains in preparation. You can preview the celebrations without paying.
Who sees the effects, and can I turn them off?
Four amount levels have three motion variants, with seasonal themes changing by the Pacific calendar. A confirmed tip celebrates for the sender and notifies the creator; current viewers may see a shorter effect. Other viewers do not see the exact amount or sender’s identity. Effects are silent, rate-limited, and can be reduced or turned off.
How do the illustrations change with the tip amount?
For summer, JPY 1,000 brings a sun, JPY 3,000 brings shaved ice, JPY 5,000 brings watermelon, and JPY 10,000 brings fireworks. Higher levels use larger illustrations and a wider celebration. JPY 500 uses the sun with a smaller effect. These are Japanese yen amounts.
Illustration sets switch each month in Pacific Time: summer in June–August, Halloween in October, holiday celebrations in December, and more. Other viewers see a quieter version without your name or exact amount. All effects are silent and respect reduced-motion settings; you can choose Subtle or turn them off.
Paid drops are not open yet. The free playground lets you try a sample reveal without signing in or paying. Sample results do not award actual creator content or carry over to a purchase. You can also browse collectible drops. Likes, tips, and memberships do not buy a draw.
What are the odds, and can I get the same item twice?
Each paid draw, once available, awards one random digital item from the disclosed lineup after payment is confirmed. A and B tiers are required; S, C, and D are optional. The creator selects a probability preset, and the offer shows the actual tier and item probabilities.
Items already collected from that same drop are excluded. Remaining probabilities are recalculated and shown before payment; when you have the full lineup, you cannot buy another draw from it. Content can overlap with other drops or shop purchases. No cash prize or cash-out is offered.
How does the Prize Wheel work?
The wheel turns for about 6.5 seconds, then slows until the top pointer marks your tier. Slice sizes follow the remaining tier probabilities for that draw; the odds list also identifies very narrow slices. Once a result is shown, the free playground and creator preview update their odds list for the next draw. A purchased reveal keeps the chances recorded for that purchase.
The result is selected before the animation. There is no timing challenge: pressing Skip animation, replaying, or reopening the reveal never changes the recorded award or charges you again. Use Show my item for direct access, or Show results without spinning. Your device’s reduced-motion preference is respected. If a payment is still being checked, check its status instead of starting another purchase.
I lost my connection during a drop purchase. Should I pay again?
Open My drops and choose Review status for that purchase. While a payment is unresolved, another draw is blocked. The status page checks for a confirmed result for a limited time while visible; refreshing or checking status never starts a charge. If the automatic checks stop, use Check payment status or return later.
An item is available only after payment is independently confirmed. Closing or skipping the Prize Wheel does not lose a confirmed item or change its result. Contact support with the purchase reference if the payment remains unresolved.
Where do I find an awarded item?
Sign in with the purchasing account and open My drops. Open the award to view or download available files. A drop purchase covers the awarded item, not the entire lineup, membership, or creator’s archive. Playback depends on the file format and your device.
Can the lineup change after sales start?
The lineup is fixed when sales begin. Only a reviewed correction of the same work, such as repairing a content defect, can replace its file. A content hold may temporarily block new sales and delivery while a problem is reviewed. Previously downloaded files cannot be recalled remotely.
If paid content is missing or materially different, contact purchase support with your draw reference. See the drop conditions and refund policy.
Languages, planned dubbing, and VF Voice
Does an English description mean English audio?
No. Site navigation and displayed descriptions are in English, but original artwork, video, or audio can use another language. Read the listing for actual audio and subtitle availability. Subtitles appear only when a subtitle file is available. An English description is not a promise of English dubbing.
What is the difference between dubbing and VF Voice chats?
Planned dubbing creates an English audio version of selected recorded content. Planned VF Voice chats generate interactive responses in a creator-approved synthetic voice. Responses come from VF Voice, not the creator live. Neither feature is currently offered or included in your membership, purchases, or tips.
Will whispers, breathing, and spatial ASMR be reproduced?
That is not confirmed. Whispering, breathing, nonverbal sounds, and left-right spatial audio need separate testing. No faithful reproduction or English version is guaranteed. Check the audio actually included in an offer today.
Do the creator and I automatically consent to voice use?
No. Creator registration, posting, or agency affiliation does not authorize voice cloning. Each purpose needs separate permission. Chat privacy and data handling, pricing, participation, reporting, and stopping the feature will be explained before launch. VF Voice responses are generated, not the creator’s personal messages or commitments. voiFans accounts, points, and access do not automatically transfer.
Your account and purchase support
How do I find account tools on my phone?
Tap the three-line menu in the header for My library, My drops, Memberships, Order history, Backed projects, Tip history, and Messages. You need to sign in to see your account tools. Long menus scroll within the panel.
Choose Close menu, tap outside it, or press Escape to close it. Account pages also have an Account menu. Wide comparison tables scroll sideways within the table. Save any changes before leaving a form.
Does deleting my account cancel just one plan?
No. Account deletion is separate from membership cancellation and affects the account used to access purchases. If you only want to stop a recurring plan, use Memberships. Resolve pending payments or project issues and keep purchase references before requesting account deletion. Contact support if you are unsure.
Where are my library, orders, and messages?
Use My library for new purchases, Order history for earlier orders and receipts, My drops for awarded items, Backed projects for campaigns, and Tip history for tips. The account menu also contains Memberships, Payment methods, and Messages.
I cannot sign in. How can I get help?
Use the same account used to purchase. For email/password accounts, use Reset your password and the newest email. If the issue persists, use the contact in Purchasing terms. Include the page, date, error, and order/backing reference if available. Never send your password, verification code, or full payment details.
Can an agency view the creator’s private work?
Affiliation alone grants no viewing or editing rights to private, paid, or members-only content. Access is based on ordinary membership or purchase rights. An agency contract is not consent to clone the creator’s voice.
KNOW WHAT STAYS WITH YOU
Membership access and purchases work differently.
How you get access
What is included
After canceling a membership
A paid plan with monthly archives enabled
Eligible posts from months in your uninterrupted paid membership, within the tiers you qualified for then and can access now.
Membership-derived access ends immediately on cancellation or a switch to free. It does not last until the end of the month.
A paid plan without monthly archives
Published posts within the current plan’s access level, including earlier posts while you qualify.
Membership-derived access ends immediately. This is not a purchase of those posts.
A separately purchased archive or multi-month set
The listed months and the plan tiers recorded for the purchase.
No active membership is needed. Purchased access remains while your account, the creator’s page, and the content remain available.
A post collection or file product
Only the listed posts or files. A selected post includes its images and videos; it does not unlock the whole month.
Purchased access is separate from your membership, subject to the same availability conditions.
A successfully funded project
The promised finished product, after the creator releases it to paid backers.
After delivery, it is a separate purchase. Backing alone does not unlock unfinished content or a membership.
What if I upgrade, downgrade, or rejoin?
A direct change between paid plans preserves uninterrupted paid-membership history. Upgrading does not retroactively add higher-tier access to earlier months when you were not eligible. During a downgrade, higher-tier content outside the new plan becomes unavailable unless you purchased it separately.
Canceling, switching to free, or a failed renewal that ends your paid membership breaks continuity. Rejoining starts a new period and does not restore months from the previous period. To regain eligible older content, buy an available archive or collection separately. A creator closing a plan may move members to a free plan at the announced time; change to another eligible paid plan before then to preserve continuity.
Can I keep downloaded files?
Files you already downloaded do not disappear from your device when a membership ends. Online streaming and downloading again still require access. Downloads are for your personal use; they do not grant resale, reposting, or redistribution rights.
Does “purchased access” mean guaranteed permanent availability?
No. Deleting your account, a creator closing their page, content removal, or service restrictions can make online content unavailable. Canceling a membership is different from deleting your account. For missing paid content or an incorrect charge, keep your purchase reference and contact support. Applicable refund rights are not excluded.
Archive months and publication schedules use US Pacific Time. The archive label identifies the content month, not a new recurring subscription. Separate purchases do not auto-renew.
ON THE HORIZON · NOT AVAILABLE YET
Two ways a familiar voice could travel further.
FOR RECORDED CONTENT
Creator-approved English dubbing
A planned English audio version of selected recorded videos or voice works, using a voice the creator has explicitly approved. It is separate from translated descriptions and subtitles.
Buying or subscribing today does not include a future dub. Original audio will not automatically be replaced.
FOR CONVERSATION
VF Voice chats
Planned one-to-one conversations with selected, consenting creators’ VF Voice.
Responses come from VF Voice, not the creator live. They are generated responses, not the creator’s personal messages, opinions, promises, or endorsement of a request.
Both features are in development. No launch date, lineup, languages, pricing, or voice quality is confirmed. They are not included in current memberships, purchases, or tips. No voice-chat booking or payment is being accepted.
What about ASMR, consent, and voiFans?
Whispers, breathing, nonverbal sounds, and left-right spatial audio need separate quality testing; faithful reproduction is not promised. Voice use requires separate creator permission for the stated purpose. Permission to dub a recording does not automatically authorize interactive voice chats.
JAFANESE will operate the voice-chat technology separately from voiFans. Accounts, points, prices, and access will not automatically carry over. Privacy, retention, reporting, and stopping the feature will be explained before launch.
Yes. Join the creator's free membership before purchasing. Existing paid members can purchase without changing plans. Products are sold separately; joining does not unlock paid products.
Leaving a membership does not remove ownership of products you already purchased. Account deletion and content removal are covered by the access rules below.
Automatic new-product email alerts are not available yet.
